Raising funds and awareness for
suicide prevention resources in Comal County.
Second Time At Success
The 1845 Creative Golf Classic, held at the picturesque Landa Park Golf Course on September 22, 2023, has concluded with resounding success for the second consecutive year. This annual golf tournament, organized by the owner of 1845 Creative, Jenny Wilson, aimed to raise crucial funds for suicide prevention efforts in Comal County. The event has once again demonstrated the organization's commitment to a vital cause, raising $15,000 this year, resulting in a remarkable two-year total of $34,000.
The 1845 Creative Golf Classic brought together avid golfers, sponsors, and community members in a day of competitive golf, camaraderie, and support for a meaningful cause. With the scenic backdrop of the Landa Park Golf Course, participants enjoyed a challenging 18-hole tournament while contributing to the critical work of this year's beneficiary, the Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (MHDD) Centers' Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, known as MCOT.
MCOT is made up of trained professionals who respond to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and in need of immediate support. The team is committed to developing strong relationships in the community, and the trauma-informed staff is dedicated to assisting individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
